In our book, Signs of Life: The Origin of Astrological Symbolism and Its Relation to the Human Psyche, Polly Dukes and I discuss an experiment which showed how assessments of personality, as measured by self-report questionnaires, were influenced according to whether participants had prior knowledge of the traditionally associated characteristics of their astrological sun-sign.
